KMWorld has published a trend-setting products list since 2003. Back then it was all about portals, smart enterprise suites and content management. If you don't follow KM, you might be surprised that the US Army is a leader in the field. This
article in Government Computer News describes how the Army Training Support Center is using a centralized knowledge base to answer thousands of user questions every month. It includes both canned, FAQ-style answers, and on call support from Subject Matter Experts. Pretty cool.
