Welcome to K Street Central

In March 2007, several things came together on Knowledge Street in a very serendipitous way. We decided to upgrade our site search tool, and went with Google Custom Search. It lets you focus the engine’s attention on one or more URLs, instead of searching the entire Web.

We considered doing our own KM&C “best of” list, but thought it would be more fun if we solicited the opinions of other folks, too. While we were mulling this over, we came across an article by David Weinberger. He suggested that given the current “abundance of worthiness” on the Web, the next generation of search might need to incorporate some sort of social networking.

So that’s what we have here. You can see the sites behind the search box on this page, and if you’d like to make a recommendation, by all means let us know. Also, we’d like to thank those outside Knowledge Street who’ve made recommendations so far: Stan Garfield, David Gurteen and Bruce Karney.
